  • '57 Silver Hawk Flag?

Even though this car is just the way someone or some Dealer ordered it, it is however, a very nice car from what can be seen in the photos. []
No Tach, Vacuum Gauge, Clock, or Factory Overdrive options though, Lol!
It does have a 700R4 GM THM Automatic, conversion.

The flags were actually used to signify that the cars were 289 equipped as compared to 259 equipped. They were put on all 1957 cars with the 289, not just the hawks. The 259 v8's had the V8 emblem used for several years. I am actually a previous owner of this car so if you have any questions I will be glad to try and answer them.

Why are all the cars for sale on Ebay being sold for a friend? Doesn't anyone ever sell their own car? This immediately raises a red flag for me.

I sell guitars quite a bit on Ebay and they are all "for a friend". He doesn't do computers (he's almost 80). I suspect that's what happens most of the time in these cases.

BTW, that's a pretty Hawk, but looks like it has/had a serious rust problem at one time. The rockers look *funny* to me.

I just sold 7 cars and a shed full of parts for a 74
yr.old gentleman who isnt computer savvy.I currently
have a diecast car collection online for a 55
yr.old gentleman who has no interest in doing the work.
Was contacted yesterday by a businessman who
doesnt have the time to list his collection for
sale. There are two 1954 Studebaker Starlight Coupes in the mix.
I sell stuff for others as a business as other sellers do.

When I had it the rockers were original, the front fenders have the classic enterprise patch panels in them. I am not sure what is up with the rocker, I noticed that also. There was some rust in the floor boards which was repaired. It was a pretty solid old car, ran great. The owner before me had it around 20 years but never got it done. He had bought it at a country farm auction. I repainted it with the same color scheme it has now only I used acrylic enamel. I did not drive it much at all, I have another hawk so I bought it as I enjoy fixing em.

The only thing I would do with that Hawk is put an NOS clock in it and drive it!!

My Silver Hawk I got from my grandpa, the original owner has crossed flags emblems. This car is equipped with 289, dual exhaust tailpipe, and 2bbl, however it don't have a twin-track rear end. I am not sure what mean is "factory transistor ignition"?

                      Merry Christmas...
