Your vote would be appreciated in help determining the speaker / entertainment for our 2011 Zone meet in Manitoba. The two options presented to date are Stu Chapman, who was the head of public relations for Studebaker in Hamilton in 1964-66. or an Elivs Presley impersonator. The club is split so your help in deciding would be appreciated.

I won't be there but something tells me I could find you an Elvis Presley impersonator 40 years down the road. Probably not so easy for historical Studebaker executives.

What's the difficult decision[?][?][?] I hope you are kidding.

No unfortunately I am not! The club pres is hot on Elvis. I think getting a chance to have a former Stude media person would be fantastic. The club will decide in January.

I assume the last comment would be a vote for Chapman?

Is this a serious question within a Studebaker club zone meet[:0] maybe if you threw in a Micheal Jackson impersonator with the Elvis and Im there[)]

Those choices would be for two different crowds at different times of the day at a Zone Meet, I would think. One inside and one outside. Do both, if you must.
Personally, I'd tell the president to save Elvis for his personal birthday party and not put Stu in an embarrassing situation like that. [B)][:0]

Elvis impersonators are a dime a dozen. I would stay to listen to Stu, but I would be amongst the first to leave the room when "Elvis" showed up. No contest IMHO.

Well I'm not in the Zone whose meet this will be...but I am in the Zone (and the actual Chapter) that boasts Stu Chapman among its membership...so I can call this choice a no-brainer if ever there was one. It's an SDC Zone Meet. Stu is the lone surviving member of Studebaker's exec team, and still the custodian of tons of Stude history and memorabilia; far as I know Elvis (even the original one) never worked at Studebaker or owned one...Stu it should be!
