Congratulations to member Ed Bauer of MN. I picked up a free copy of a 2010 "Antique Trucks" Calender today at my credit union here in OKC and one of the months was a Studebaker truck belonging to an Ed Bauer. His truck is described as a 1949 1 ton flatbed with a 170 cid six cylinder engine.
Here's a link to the company who sell's the calendar (I think they primarily sell bulk volumes to companies like my credit union for marketing purposes).
I am posting a montage snap shot showing the 12 trucks in the 2010 calendar. I thought about scanning the 8-1/2" X 11" picture of Ed's 49 truck but the photo is copyrighted and I didn't feel like it was the right thing to do. Ed is a member on this forum so perhaps he will grace us with a larger photo of his truck. (His truck is top right corner in photo montage)
Of the other trucks shown I also liked the Diamond T. (bottom center in photo) I am unfamiliar with the Diamond T, I kind of think it was a brand of larger diesel truck. The footnote on the calendar says the owner transplanted a 4B Cummings diesel into it (something I wouldn't mind doing to my 98 F-150) and the Plymouth (left 2nd row in photo) & Dodge (top left in photo) pickups. I knew Dodge has made pickups forever but never realized Plymouth did as well.
Again a big congrats to Ed and great exposure to our beloved Marque.
