It's ironic that your name is Silent Bob being that you just ruined the surprise of the December issue that I have not received. Just kidding Bob. Is David Letterman a member by chance? He is from Indiana afterall.

Maybe Jay will enjoy Matt's article in Turning Wheels so much that he'll get invited to appear on the Jay Leno show. [8D]

I just did a quick search and he supposedly has a '64 Avanti.

Cool video Matt. I'm surprised he drives it on the road like that. A while back I watched a video of him starting up a Stanley Steamer car and take it for a drive. Very interesting.

Jay doesn't list a Studebaker in his garage but he does have a 1955 Packard Caribbean

                          Here's video ....

One of the highlights of our Potomac Chapter Route 66 Trip in 2003 was going to the Tonight Show. Jay mentioned us in his monologue then had us on stage after the show. He told us then that he didn't have any Studebakers. However, he did ask if any of us drove an Avanti. Since we made the trip in out '64 R-2, I answered "yes". He came over to me put his arm over my shoulder and talked for a while very authoritatively (and accurately) about Avantis. He asked if it was supercharged then went on about how he didn't care much for the post-Studebaker Avantis.
