I think you should be able to find a nos rocker and I don't blame you for wanting the nos versus reproduction just for absolute correct fit.

I put a new rocker on my 58 last summer - one I got from Classic Ent. You'd have been hard pressed to know it wasn't an NOS piece. Besides, CE doesn't usually make stuff when NOS ones can still be found.

Not sure on all styles of reproductions from C.E.,but I've seen some C/Ks with their rocker panels and it is noticable,"but not terible"

Dont blame him for wanting NOS rocker. Classic Ent. rockers must of gotten a lot better in fit in the last 10 years, but then again dont take me wrong its better than nothing. If you drew a string from end to end on the rocker I got, where it meets up to the bottom edge of the doors the center was almost an inch lower like a bannana.

The rockers do have a compound bend which make them very difficult to duplicate. The CE rockers beat a blank for sure but on a high dollar restoration I would certainly look for nos.

I just put two new rockers on my 64 Convertible last month. One was NOS and the other was from. classic enterprises. I looked them over carefully side by side before I put them on. After I got the classic enterprises one i actually found a NOS pair. I laid them side by side and could not tell the difference (other than the ce one being in new metal) so I went with the ones I got originally for the car. The classic enterprises one had a curve in it length wise which pulled out when I installed it. I was very pleased with the rocker panel from them. I have also used their hawk front fender patch panels and have once again been pleased.

I bought two pairs of rockers with a 4 door parts car and I believe one pair was the early style and one pair was the late. I'm going home for Thanksgiving, so I'll check then.

the CE rockers for my 63' Cruiser were about a 1/2 inch too short and lacking the contour Nels mentioned above....I had to cover the rear edge with stone guards so as not to be that obvious....

Could it be that they sent you the wrong rockers? Did you call them and tell them of this issue? I would hope that they would have either refunded or sent replacements if informed of the problem.
