We have adopted a new Studebaker, Sera.[^] She is a 62 Daytona...
she's a little rough around the edges, but all the panel gaps look really good!

You need to invest in a power winch, works a lot faster with less effort, been there done that...Bob

The Daytona looks fabulous. Wouldn't take more than a day or two to make that a driver.

Looks like Rose pulled the job off with out any problems. Have fun fixing it up. You ought to have it finished before Christmas dinner in Joplin.

Thanks for all the nice comments.[:I] Getting her driving by Christmass isn't going to happen...we've got too much going on.:( Maybe by spring. If I'm not too busy Saturday morning, and it's not too cold...I might get out there and give her a bath. I think she'd like that.;) I'm having trouble getting pics up to Photobucket at the moment...so the interior pics will have to wait. (Imagine that...an IT guy having computer problems!)[:0]

Having a winch would have been nice...but beggars can't be choosers...we used a borrowed truck and a borrowed trailer. I had to replace a tail light lenses and bulb on the trailer, and a whole mess of fuses on the truck! All in the rain of course![xx(]

Nice stude. I love the look of a 62 daytona. I think thats why I have one parked in my shop. Is it the 6 or 8 in that daytona? Best of luck with your find. Gene.

The saga continues. Springfield to Joplin to Searcy and now Fayetteville. Good luck. I hated to see it go, but I just had too much on my plate to get anything done very soon. I really need a running driving car and not a project right now.
Did you think up the name Sera on the way home? BTW I thought we did a pretty quick job loading that thing without a winch. Of course since Joe was doing most of the work it didn't hurt me too much. ;)
Here's a picture of when it was clean before all the rain set in and I fell behind.

Howard, you and Joe did a great job getting her loaded. Sera came about when I realized that there was supposed to be a meteor shower the morning/evening of the pickup. I was hoping a firey name would stave off the rain, but the tears from heaven seem to follow her with the transfer of ownership.

Seeing that pic of her all clean and shinny makes me want to try and give her a bath on Friday night...the girls are coming over to play candle making with Rose on Friday...so I might just sneak outside with a buckett and a beer.:D

A few more years under those trees and it is going to make a great deer stand.
Looking forward to seeing it running and on display.

Hey Fred, what is that you have wrapped around your greenhouse? Is it some kind of blanket? Mine has a heat loss problem and I've been looking for a solution. Yours looks similar to mine, so I was wondering...

Nothing...just the naked plastic panels...It's the Harbor Freight special we got on sale, and then also had a 20% off coupon! It's empty at the moment...but we hope to be ahead of the game this spring.;)
