  • Keystone Raffle Car update 1/16/2010

    1/16/2010 UPDATE:
The ads have just appeared in Hemmings and Old Cars Weekly. Less than 700 tickets remain.

    The car <s>will be</s> (was)at Reedsville.
So far, it has only been shown and advertised through Studebaker venues.
<s>Over half of the tickets are sold.</s>
After Reedsville, an ad will be placed in OLD CARS.
We don't expect there will be tickets available for the drawing at York.

I've already got a few tickets, but will probably buy a couple more at Reedsville. I know that this Daytona would look good in my garage!

            Jim,

If you end up with this car again, I will gladly work a deal with you (I would hate to see Randy's Avanti have to stay outside ).

I just bought a ticket. The car looks great. Who restored it?

It is a very, very nice car.

Bodywork repairs were done not quite twenty years ago by Westmoreland Studebaker in PA. As 'Rerun' has noted, it wasn't really a full-blown restoration of the type that Westmoreland is certainly capable of; but more of repairs. I do remember the shop telling me that the current owner of the car at that time (not 'Rerun') reigned them in a good bit on costs and extent of restoration. That said, it's a beautiful car that I'd be happy to own. Can't beat a '64, and gorgeous black with red vinyl buckets and Powershift trans to boot!

Roger that, times four. Now all I have to do is work up how to get all you guys to drive it across the continent for me and sweet-talk showbizkid into driving it onboard a Hilo-bound Pasha liner in Sandy Eggo [8D]

Yep, the online ordering is great, especially for those of us who can't make Reedsville Simple as can be!

I've got 50 tickets for sale if someone wants a few. However come 12/31 I plan on purchasing them and put my name on them and add this Atlantic Zone meet First Place winner in my garage along with the rest of the flock.

As of last Saturday, 12/05 at the Keystone's Christmas Party held in snowy Lancaster there are only 1250 tickets available to be sold on the car. There will be an ad in Feb's Hemmings Motor News followed closely thereafter with two ads in [u]Old Cars Weekly</u>. We fully expect that there will be no or very limited tickets left for York. If you need or want tickets for Christmas get them now.

You can order them on Keystone's Website:
