I have 215/75-15 on original rims on my 1964 Daytona hardtop, and they work very well. Also, I have 205/75-15 on what I think are Ford rims on my 1963 Hawk, and they work very well.

You could run even narrower tires.....I am running 165R 15s tires on my last pair of straight stock rims on pinkie on the front anyway.

If you car is ugly then it better be fast.....
