Seems like it might be worth the money for someone that can pick up.

I guess it is worth the money. It has the rotors and calipers, complete rear end with traction bars and sway bar, all power steering parts including box, but not pump, springs, etc.

But it looks as if he was honest, though not verbose as he states "In very used condition."

If that's a TT Dana with a nice Avanti ratio 3.73 etc it could be worth the price of the whole package to someone doing a hot rod Lark. Clean up the calipers and sell them as cores, if you're inclined put new bushings in the control arms and paint them and sell them as recons. P/S stuff's got to be worth something. You could end up with a free rear! And when do you ever get a piece of aXX that doesn't cost you something?:D

I see the p/s pump right under the front sway bar.
(Looks like the exhaust hanger someone was looking for is laying right on top of the pile, too)....

Looks like a good deal to me too. Rear would be great at the strip. To bad its on the wrong coast. That's a switch!;)

I'd trust the seller, looks like a year away from being scrap, or
yard art. My guess, it will go for about 1/2 of the $500 he's asking.
Notice he makes no claim that any of it is reusable.

Drove up to Gainsville today. Everything is from a 1965 Avanti II. The rear is an open (not tt) 3.31. the good thing is that it has flanged axles. I think the axle ration is too high for my 4speed. The rest of the stuff may be usable, but since I focused on the rear end, I didn't check it out much.

I wonder what has happeed to the rest of that low production 1965.

I think it's a deal TT or not. Here you get a full disc brake setup, save for the booster/MC - and that would mean the 11" rear brakes as well.
Then there's that rag-joint steering box WITH the PS setup on it - even IF the pump isn't the type the Stude-engine'd Avantis used. AND a flanged axle rear that could easily be TT'd or re-geared.
Shoot, I'd get $500 just for the brake stuff alone. Yeah, wrong coast - which is probably a good thing.

The 1965 avanti shell is getting a new frame with a jag rear end and a vette front. the guy makes custom 'old' cars with modern creature comforts. I wished him lots of luck as the avanti has the front window posts rotted out among other things.

Hopefully he saved the serial number plate from the frame for the reconstructed car.

Did you happen to get the serial number. There is still confusion as to how many 1965 were built.
