Hi all.
I need some information on the South Bend plant engineering building, #92. Dylan Wills and I are currently working on a possible article about the building for the December issue of Turning Wheels. We want all forms of facts about the building, anything. Did you work in this building, or know somebody who did? Submit the story! We allready do know the basic stuff about the building. Stuff like: built in 1928, overall square feet, what the first and second floors were used for, etc. Now we just want finer detail information. If you know anything at all about the building, please post it below. Thanks! Chris.:)

My grandfather worked in that building, and his daughter (my mom) remembers being in there quite often. Her memories include riding on the turntable (carousel?) in what I believe might have been a central courtyard of Building 92, and of her dad having to work on Sundays during World War II for military purposes (the Weasel, probably).

Are you still collecting stories and experiences?

Sorry so late responding, but I just found out about the sale and planned destruction of the building. I'm heartbroken.
