    I had interference problems in my 60 Hawk between the R2 fuel pump, and the engine mount pedestal. Rather than use the "heat and hit" solution to gain the clearance, I removed the mount, cut the forward edge back a bit, then welded in a new plate. A much more elegant solution IMHO.
