  • Walking wheel covers --reprise

Two weeks ago I replaced two lug bolts hoping they would correct the walking wheel cover on my '55 President. They didn't affect it at all. It was suggested I try swapping in another wheel cover.

I swapped front and back (on the driver's side) Since then I've put on about 150 miles and neither wheel cover has walked noticably. I will continue to monitor them, but it looks good.

Good to know. I have about a 300 mile, one way trip, coming up, and will try this before I leave. Also, may put a steel valve stem in the wheel that is in question.
