  • What parts need reproduced?

Small parts that don't require much, or major parts that require time and investment. As the stash of NOS parts dwindles, the future of many of our vehicles will depend on the speculators.

    I throw two questions open:

What parts not currently reproduced need to be?

What parts still available NOS should be considered upon-or before- their demise?

    I will start.

Rear window molding clips for 47-52 Starlight Coupe stainless trim (it takes three different clips).

    1951 hood release cable.

1959-60 Lark fresh air valve (the little flapper that fits within the front fenders).

1956 Transtar hood. (It could happen.)

I really could go on and on but, if there is merit to these questions only time will tell.

I vote for reproduction '53 & '54 C/K Grille Bars and Surround Mouldings. Maybe the tough type (ABS) plastic chromed plated would be possible![^][^]

1955-56 C-K taillight housings. Supposedly SI may or may not be working on getting these repopped again, but still...

1955 C-K parking light housings. Not sure how you'd repop these and make money though. Actually I sent the best of my busted ones off to Qual-Krom (Librandi's didn't want to do pot metal patching) and I think they told me it'd be $350 when they were done, not that bad a deal really. We'll see how good it looks when I get it back.

53-56 C-K low trim level (no horn ring) steering wheel (the Schrocks could do this easily as they are already molding the 56J wheel, the full horn ring wheel, and I think the half horn ring wheel)

those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head; I am sure there's more.
