  • Rear window rubber gasket replacement

I have a 55 President coupe and purchased new gaskets for the rear windows. Has anyone had the pleasure of doing this project? Any pointers would be appreciated. It looks like I have to drill out the rivets. Help!

No I mean the large gasket that goes inside the frame which houses the window which prevents water coming in the car. Where can I get new rivets like those small ones that attach the window to the frame hinge?

If you are talking about the rivits on the hinge side of the glass... steel pop rivits work fine. The rivits on the latch... another problem. I had to actually weld them on the bottom of the pin.
        Good Luck!
