  • 1960 - By then they were using all GM parts

Another eBay auction with dark photos and wrong information.

1960 Studebaker Lark VI 2dr 2 post sedan! Straight, never been hit. Everything bodywise, trim, hubcaps, all that hard to hunt down stuff is here! All glass in tact. No chopping or customizing to the outside. Inside has cadilac interior. Could be redone/replaced if you wanted it all original. All glass is in tact, and still shines like the day I got it 21 years ago. Does not run. Don't know why, but original motor and tranny(at this point they were buying all GM parts) are in there, and parts are easy to come by.

It seems to me that if you owned a 60 Lark for 21 years, you would know that the engine and tranny are not GM. Even I know that they were using Ford 289s by then! Maybe a few Delco parts. Maybe that is why it doesn't run. Those GM parts just don't work well on Studebakers.

And Cadillac interior! Too bad he didn't post a picture of that!
Of course it would probably be dark like the rest of them. I tried to lighten the picture and it does look like some big seats are cramed inside. It also looks like it is on blocks. It does have a reasonable starting bid and no reserve.

Holy smokes, what's going on with that rear end? Maybe no frame to support it?

I corresponded with him regarding the motor and the stance. He said that the GM thing was something "someone had told him".

The car is up on blocks with the suspension...er...suspended.
