              This it Jon?

I crossed the number to SASCO's website when it was still up. They had it listed.

What is the discription of it?

I'm not showing that number in any of the truck books, 2E through 8E. There's several numbers withing a few digits, but that exact number isn't in the index.

I can't find that number either. But it is in the 1962 Parts Price List book. Gotta be a legit number. Maybe military stuff.

Like you said, the part looks just like the diaphrams I have on the shelf at work for air brake pods.

Yes, it is a diaphragm for a rear air brake can on 7E-8E, 40-45. Oddly, while it's listed in the text, it doesn't show up in the numerical listings in the back of the book.
It's probably a pretty rare part now, as I suppose most older trucks have been converted to maxi-cans.

                          HEY, you're not Wilbur!

Looks like a common truck brake chamber diaphragm available at any truck parts supplier, though it could be for some special application
depending on the exact size. Brake chambers are given type numbers according to diameter. I always confuse the type with it's size, but
                              I believe a 6" would be a type 20.
