A very rare car that runs and drives with xtra parts for 1500 sounds excellent! Too bad I have no more room here, or I'd grab it.

It's a pretty terse ad. If it's a stock 283 power train in there, it's not a Powerglide, but a Flightomatic with second gear start, which a Chevy person might mistake for a 'glide because it only shifts once in normal driving. But of course it would have been very easy to swap a Powerglide into a '66 car, so who knows?

I'd say that car had better be almost 100% rust-free to be worth that kind of money.

The powerglide is too short, the front u-joint would be ahead of the x-member in the frame (sliding-roof only) and the driveshaft would interfere, same with using a Chev standard trans.

Today while at a car show I was chatting with the owner of a real nice custom 61 chev 2dr. post. In the course of conversation he told me he had a good Wagonaire for sale in BC Canada, and then he gave me his card. I remember reading about this on the forum, did a search of his name and came up with this post. I know nothing else about the car, have never seen it, but the owner did indicate he is willing to let it go for next to nothing....so I thought I would repost. Perhaps Brian Woods has actually seen the car. BTW, the card Keith gave me had a different email/website address. info@revhead.ca and www.revhead.ca |Just trying to save another Stude. The Craigslist link to the 66 Wagon didn't work, did anyone copy the picture as I'm not sure I've ever seen one.

The ad is no longer there, either he sold it or the ad expired. There is this ad for a '52 Champ for $8000. Maybe someone should call American Pickers...

The car I was talking about is not the 66 wagonaire from CA, but the 63 wagonaire that Brian Woods was later posting about...sorry for any confusion. I will start a new thread so there is no confusion...at least I hope their is no confusion. Bottom line, I talked to a guy yesterday that has a good (according to him) 63 (IIRC) Wagonaire for sale (cheap) that he really needs to get rid of. junior
