  • AC pully location?

When a V8 has P.S. and AC,then is there a third pully for the AC?

Yep, you need four more pulleys for an original AC installation: one wih a clutch mounted to the compressor, a pulley on the crankshaft, a pulley on the water pump hub, and an idler pulley that is attached to the compressor mounting bracket below thecompressor. Dan

Actually, the one on my '63 Daytona had a double pulley on the compressor.

Here's a picture of a V8 out of the car (missing the PS pump/pulley). It gives you a good idea how they're set up.

There should be three belts and related pully groves. 1 for the power steering, one for the A/C and one for the alternator.

The first engine stand I put that engine on failed.
