  • Underhood Detailing

I'm still working on the detailing on my 1963 R2 GT Hawk.
I have a question about the throttle bell crank (the large part of
the throttle linkage that is fastened to the engine with a head bolt).
Should this part be zinc plated or painted? If painted, what color?
Will I mess things up by removing a head bolt or can I just
retorque it when I reinstall the bell crank?
I really appreciate all the help that you members of this forum
    have provided. Thanks again!!!

You can just paint it with Eastwood Detail gray and no need to do anything but retorque the bolt when you are done.
