In today's Hudson Valley, NY CraigsList for auto parts is an interesting listing. For sale is an NOS 1956 Packard engine. It is a long block still in the factory crate. This is the engine for some 1956 Packards and all 1956 Studebaker Golden Hawks. The CraigsList number is: 1390156208.

FWIW, a 5.2 liter Nash V8 is a 7.8-to-1 low-compression 1955 320", not a '56J 352" which would be a 5.77 liter.

thnx, jack vines.

Thanks for the information/clarification/correction on this.

What is the difference between a 320 and a 352? Is it bore, stroke or both?

The 320" has a 3.8125" bore
The 352" has a 4.000" bore
The 374" has a 4.125" bore
The stroke is 3.500" on all three.
