  • 1959 Minneapolis Auto Show

I was searching through photos on the Minnesota Historical Society website and found this image of a Studebaker & Mercedes display. Were any of you at that show??

Sticker in the window, too! Finally...thanks for pointing it out, Kevin. [8D] I was three when that was taken. That would be a new one..."theater find, stored in theater for 50 years, no mice."

I was 9 years old and probably didn't really know where Minnesota was.

Dave, be careful of that 'theater find'. That whole setup looks staged to me.

If you are expecting such a "theater find" you might want to get a "grip"

I was going to car shows then, but hadn't made it to Minnesota yet.
I have owned the three body styles of 1959 Lark that are pictured the best.

People called the Lark stubby... but look at those Mercedes 180 sedans! (Or as they call them in the Middle East, "taxicabs".)

No I went to the Kansas City Auto Show in 1959 and I saw the Studebaker display. I was 19 years old. And got drafted 4 months later.
