Tach error

Had a call last night. A member has 62 GT He noticed the tach reading seemed high so they put it on a test unit. Car reads 2700rpm and test unit reads 2200. Is there any adjustment on these. I havn't worked on one for so long I don't remember any adjustment.

If your tach is like the one I have in my 63GT. it is powered through a rectangular box approximately 1.5"x.5'x3". THere is an adjustment hole for a small screwdriver in the boxes side.
