      Was that paint pattern stock? I have never seen the headlight area a different color than what is below the beltline.

              That paint scheme is NOT stock. In fact, NO two-tone schemes were offered on Larks of any vintage.[:I]


              1957 Transtar 1/2ton
              1963 Cruiser
              1960 Larkvertible V8
              1958 Provincial wagon
              1953 Commander coupe
              1957 President two door

              No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

                Were'nt there some Larks,say around 62 that had a second color from the rain gutter up?

                    Sorry, just saw this swank-looking '62 Regal droptop pic now! I think I'd have taken the paintline round to meet the grille at the level of the "eyebrows", but otherwise, I like it a lot...

                    There were indeed some Larks with the roof panel painted a contrasting shade. That was something certain dealers did, but I don't think the factory offered it. (There's the chance that if I ever do get my own '62 painted I may request an off-white roof panel to set off the re-created/approximated P6218 Metallic Blue...which would be pretty close to the combo that's on this convertible.)
