Wow, thats a wierd one. Could it be from one of those big 5 speeds? I haven't seen one of those, so just a guess.

Hey Matt,
I went out and looked at my 59 4E13 that has a 5sp OD. Looks kinda like it. On the RH side bolt pattern is about a 3" separation between the bolts.

FWIW, the NP 5OD and 5-direct are the same bolt pattern.

Its a 5-spd. I have one with a 5-spd direct trans I have in stock. Tuesday, I had a caller looking for a early truck bellhousing for the T-96 trans, but all I had in stock are for Champ 6 trucks w/T-86 which had wrong bolt pattern.

Matt, What is the casting No. on the flange that bolts to the motor?

I don't know Alan, as I haven't bought it yet. [:o)] But I'll find out.

Oh yea? I always thought the 5 speed BH's were gold. Maybe I was wrong.

You could spray paint it gold, and say it is.[:o)][:o)]:D

Matt, Bob (Mr. Biggs) gave me one about 6 months ago just to get rid of it since he was tripping over it and needed to clean up his shed for the pump drilling. There are 2 different hole sizes for the throw out bearing register. The good one is 4.680" there is also 4.850" and 4.910"

As usual, Alan pioneers many Stude mod/swap innovations. The truck bell housing has a larger mounting surface to match up with the T5. Just an FYI for those contemplating using the truck 5-speed for a T5/TKO500 swap as Alan did. The Stude truck 5-speed bell housing weighs about twice as much as the car 3-spd/4-speed bell housing.

Alan, yes that does look familiar. I must have a half dozen or so truck BHs lyin' about here. BTW, Alan, I can't remember if you took the 6 BH or the 8. Not that it matters.

Bob, It was the V8 housing since the one for the 6 had a smaller register hole. 4.125".

And here I thought I had stumbled upon something desirable. [:o)]

Alan, that's pretty cool.
