  • Delco Distributor Identification

I ran across a Delco Distributor in my parts bin and have no idea what it fits. Is there a way to identify it? Serial # on it is 1110246 9D13. Thanks

Does it have a window on the cap?

      I don't think it's a Stude application.

      Here are the numbers
      1953 - 55 V8 - 1110839
      1958 v8 - 1110864
      1959 V8 - 1110864
      1960 V8 289 - 1110864
      1960 V8 259 - 1110869

      1961 V8 259 - 1110969
      1961 V8 289 - 1110864
      1110969 - all 1960 cars w/V8 (ex Hawk) & all 1960-61 Stude trucks.
      1110981- 60-61 V-8 LARKS ( Window unit)

      1962-64 V8 used Prestolite/ 6cyl used Autolite

If you mean 1112046...that would be a 70's Chevy. If you post a picture someone can probably ID it.

No window - It's a 6 cyl distributor and I thought it was Commander 6 but I guess not. Someone on the alt.autos.studebaker forum years ago had a Delco distributor guide as I recall and answered similar queries from members. I'm running across all sorts of used parts, generators, voltage regulators, tune up stuff and I'd like to get rid of everything except what pertains to my car - my mechanical days are over and my garage is a mess.

Dan, that particular unit is for an AMC 196 six-banger, specifically a 1958 application. Some Rammer fan would be happy to have that!
