  • Anyone know this Montana 54 coupe?

Has anyone seen the '54 Champion Coupe advertised in the September TW, page 51 center of the page? Wondering about what was thought about it. By the phone number the owner's name is David Sauers, not in the 08-08 roster. Located east of Missoula.

We keep looking for a 53 or 54 V8 nice summer driver but most are so far away.

    Any info appreciated.

Don't know of that car but I must say that as I was looking at it my eyes kept drifting up also up and slightly to the right.
Gotta admit though my wallet was not following along.
Love those 53's but for me it would have to be a two door.
    Dean.

Rob, as we speak we are installing replacement floor boards in a 54 Champion coupe with 3 speed, all 4 fenders have been changed to rust free ones, the trunk floor is good,, all glass is good , the seats are use able, the engine turns and brakes need work, chrome is all there and not broken, is use able as is, right now if I do nothing more than finishing the pans the price to you is $3500.00 delivered free with the fenders, if I keep doing more get it running ect. then it will go on e-bay formore, let me know...Bob

        Bob,

I do appreciate the offer but I have to many "projects" to get done already. (At least four)
We're looking for something we we can take out and enjoy with little work other than general maintanence.

        Thanks,

        Rob

The 53 is a nice looking car. If it had a V8 and OD I'd been on that one like stink. We're at over 7200 ft here and a six banger and auto would drive me crazy. (You loose about 3% of power per thousand foot of elevation.)

            Thanks again,

            Rob

OK, Bob, if I buy the 54 Champion Coupe, delivered, does that mean you'll bring the parts for my 55 Commander all the way to Ontario?

Bob, you don't need a passport to get into Canada. You'll need one to get back into the states (lol). Cars coming into Canada need a title and a bill of sale and 72 hours notice faxed to the Homeland Security and Border Patrol people at the border. They have to run the title for any thefts or liens. In Detroit /Windsor you'll sit there for hours. At Sarnia, I've been treated very well. Go figure. I called the motel where you'll stay in MN and reservations won't let my dog stay so I'll find a pet friendly place and contact you from there. Looking forward to October. Dave Warren

For Canada and some other locations, you do not need a passport, you only need an enhanced (I think that is the correct name) driver's license.
