After putting new A/C hoses on the 62 Hawk, I finally vacuumed the system and filled up the system with Freeze 12. As the A/C began to cool the Hot Louisiana Summer
, the A/C - Power Steering Pump belt began to squeal!!! I notice that the Power Steering Pump was twisting to the right as I would tighten the belt. I do have the brace that goes from the bottom of the pump to a head bolt, but it seems as though the pump is twisting from the top. So I believe that I need to put a brace going from where the pump adjusting arm bolts up to the pump to a bolt on the head/manifold. I plan on fabricating a brace for this area. I also see that Studebaker Int'l has a brace, but this is the brace attaching to the bottom of the pump... which I already have. Does anyone know of anyone that makes some type of other improved mounting system for the Stude Pump?
