I have a '55 champion. still 6 volt. I am trying to locate a flasher unit. all the flashers I can find have two or three prongs. Yet, the flasher receptacle in the car also has two prongs. Is there a flasher without prongs which will plug onto the pronged receptable?

What you need are some female terminals and a couple of short wires. I did this on my '55 when I changed to 12 volt. Make two short wires (3"?) and put female spade terminals on both ends of each. Plug one end of each on the receptacle and try them on the flasher until it works.
