    Waaa-hooo!! Finally got pictures up!

These are of my Champion with split exhaust - hence the dual pipes - and "vertical" shifter conversion. She has a 4.10:1 rear and overdrive (making a 2.87:1 overall in third O/D) so highway cruising is a relativly low RPM proposition. The 185 surprizingly has enuff balls to see her over many a hill without reverting to just "straight" third. Only 50,700-odd miles. Bought new in Meriden Connecticut by a little old lady (lots of hair pins under the floor mat). She (the car) is in very good shape.

I like your grill treatment, that's more like it should have been. Nice looking car. The finish is far better than mine.

[]! Excellent pictures[^]. The hub caps really set it off too.

I still have not figured out how to enlarge my pictures. I have tried different programs that are on my computer which indicate that I have enlarged them but when I post them, they are still only about 2" X 2".
Guess I will have to find a computer guru to help me.

                      Thanks for the compliments[:I]!

Here a few more pics including one that shows a front view somewhat better. I painted the whole grill black (originally it was too pitted to even leave a part of it as exposed chrome) but stuck a piece of gold metallic foil on the "S" above the wing.

The skirts are from a '55 President (the "finger hole" latch release type).

She needs a new headliner(but nothing wrong besides stains and discolouring) and replacement of worn windlace. She's never had a hole - ever - in the floor or trunk and only the bottom 7 inches of the front fenders needed repair. The car was painted over the winter of '96/'97 and was basically her first repaint. The door bottoms and jams(?) and pillars were so nice a original that we just left them alone.

We drove her to South Bend in '97 and '02(1,000 mile round trip)
                      without a hicup.
