    Sorry I cannot find your email or posting, but you asked if my 51 Champion has a single "pod" of gages or a series of them. It has them all grouped together. I believe you said you have a 51 but that it seems to have a 1950 dash. I'm not certain, but the Commander may have a different dash than my Champion, with several round gages side by side.

    Here's what a 1950 Champion (LHD) dash looks like.





    Sorry the gauges don't show better. The speedo is a half-circle, surrounded by vertical rectangle gauges for (clockwise from top left) Amps DC. (- or +), oil pressure, engine temperature, fuel. I'm sure 1950 Commanders were different, and I thnk that they were three round openings, as were all 1951s (?)

      One of the guys found that the RHD used the '50's dash, so the mystery was solved, but thanks for your input.
