I have just about finished my '53 C coupe. I used a small block Chev with TH 350. The front suspension is '83 Dodge Diplomat (same as Volare). My problem now is finding a radiator to fit. If I mount the rad vertically, I can only fit a 14.5x25 inch unit, and that includes both tanks. I know this suspension swap has been done several times before. What does everyone else use for a radiator?

How about a cross flow (side tank) radiator?

Cross flow or upright, the dimensions are the same. I can fit a slightly larger unit if I lay it back toward the engine, but that eliminates the engine fan. I'd planned to use electric pushers in conjunction with the engine fan.

I bought a Northern radiator from Day Motorsports for $159 it was advertised as a 16"X26" but came out to 15"X25" approx. You could notch the tanks to drop it down and make your own brackets. Day is in Texas and the number is 1-800-543-6238
