As a teenager living in Phoenix in 1962 I remember the police had several '61 Larks, lots of '62s, and some '64s. Have any of these survived, and if so, will they be at the meet? At the time, I had thought about how 'cool' it would be to outrun them in my '55 Champion. Ahh, the memories of my youth!

Welcome Lou,
I wish that I had memories of Stude police cars! Oh, I wasn't around until late 1962. I've only been to three national meets, 88, 02 & 05. I remember a 64 and 62 at the meets. I don't think that many survived. I've had my eye on a 62 Marshall car for a couple of years.[8D] It would be a total rescue car.

Remember the '50s TV series "Sheriff of Cochise"? It was sort of an early-day version of "Cops", starring John Bromfield and depicting the sheriff's dept. in Cochise Co. (Bisbee) Arizona.
The show's biggest attraction for me was the 1956 Commanders used by the deputys. A Tucson area SDC member once told me they used actual sheriff dept. cars in the filming.
