Got the engine started Wed. night but clutch cable woes kept us from leaving on Thursday. Made it half way thru Nebraska on I80 last night. Today check engine light came on so we just stopped at the Ford dealer in Cheyenne Wyoming to get it looked at. We are having them put in a new headlight switch, too. They had these computers in the customer service area so I was able to send this email. Should be able to get to Wendover tonight just fine. Still have a laundry list of problems to correct before we can go through tech. - Bob

Greg Meyers and I are still furiously working on the Salt-2-Salt Studebaker. We haven't started the engine yet, but we are still hopeful that we will be ready to head to the salt flats on Thursday.
This year we have a super-charged F*rd flathead V8 and hope to get the XF/BFALT and XF/BGALT records. If we're lucky and we have time we can go after the XF/BGC record as well. This all hinges on us actually finishing the car in the next 3 days -- a daunting task.
