  • couple of interesting pickups in the Chico CA area

Every once in a while I check CraigsList to see what's up around here. Today I came up with a '62 Champ, '57 Transtar (basket case), and... well, I not sure what to call it, a high-priced custom.

If you're interested here's the link:

I notice one of them is the famous (infamous?) ran when parked.

The 60 Lark pickup is VERY pretty! Just the looks, I don't care about the other stuff.

Yes, Bob, it's very pretty. So's the price tag.

Maybe it would be better to say "Parked when it ran."

If if was running when it was parked, why was it parked[?] If it ran when parked, why did you not start it up for the world to hear before selling[?] Just a couple of simple questions from a simpleton... LH

Hmmm... well, Hunter, My Champ ran before he got parked. Now, however, he's missing the carb and manifold (soon to be returned), Starter (also soon to be returned), and I took his wheels off. The wheels came off to help a friend move around his Champs and are also, you guessed it, soon to be returned. Then again, if I died tomorrow, then Ed would probably sit disassembled for a good many years and eventually be sold as having, "ran when parked," as well (LOL).
