  • Bonneville bound?

While driving from Laramie to Cheyenne on I-80 this morning we saw two Sudes on trailers headed west. One was a 53-54 red and white coupe. Didn't get the number on the car. About twenty minutes latter we saw a brown Avanti with number 646 on the side. Just checked and saw that Speed Week is starting at Bonneville this week.

Anyone know who these might be?

    Anyways, give 'em H@#LL guys!!

First thought was that the '53-'54 coupe was the Hinchcliff brothers, from outside Detroit. However,I believe their car is still all Red. The number is 929. Jeff, how have they done? I think it is a Ford powered car. Huck

Gary Hart's coupe is red with a white top, if I remember correctly. Number 787.

I think the early coupe may have been Gary Hart's car. I found a picture of his car and it seems like it had the rear fins as was shown in the picture.

It was cool to see them heading out to race!!
