  • Still looking for Avanti upper widshield trim

I'm still looking for a nice upper front winshield trim piece for my '63 Avanti.

The one I have now is very nice, but has some pitting/scuffing that can't be buffed out.

I'd like to find a nicer example if possible before I reinstall the windshield in a few weeks.

Thanks in advance for any leads

Stainless Steel does not "Pit", you got metal woodpeckers where you live? [:0]

    It should polish up. [^]

I know StudeRich, it's the strangest thing...

I'm thinking maybe the DA sander or a grinder got away from somebody during paint prep.

It looks sorta like pitting upon first glance because the orifices have filled with dirt and buffing compound, but it's really more like road rash

I could grind the surrounding area down and buff it out, but in the end it would look like s**t from numerous angles -and all I'd ever do is curse everytime I looked at it
