  • 58 Packard wagon sighting!

I went to an AACA Meet today, and one of the members has the Packard wagon. I shot some pics, and I passed him.

The meet was the old ESSO station, and a member who owns it , so I shot a picture of my Stude.

      That's a nice looking wagon.

Is your Stude Concord Blue? I'm color blind so don't make fun of me, but are our cars the same color?

That looks like the one that was in South Bend in '07.

        1957 Transtar 1/2ton
        1963 Cruiser
        1960 Larkvertible V8
        1958 Provincial wagon
        1953 Commander coupe
        1957 President two door

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

No, my car is Tahoe green

No, that one looks like this one, but is not the same car.

I remember proudly cruising in the red and white one I had, some 30+ years ago.

The AACA member's 58 Packard was in the movie Heart of Atlantis, produced in Staunton, Virginia.

This one is on the 58 Packard Wagon Registry. Hard to believe that it is 100% original and unrestored, but it is.

The wagon you posted to open this thread is pictured on Page 16 of the September 1999 Turning Wheels, Leonard. 'Same license number!

When it appeared at The 1999 Packard Centennial Celebration in Warren OH, it was owned by Benjamin P. A. Warthen of Richmond VA.

Do you know if he still owns it? BP

Yes, he still has it, and Ben Warthen is driving it.

Leonard - At least on my notebook, your car doesn't look close to Tahoe Green, unless Tahoe Green was different in 1952 than what it was on 1953s.

To be honest, I would have to agree with Gary. I have seen your car in South Bend and its more Aqua Green than Tahoe Green.

Uh-oh, Leonard. Is that a motorcycle officer from the windshield wiper police approaching and visible through the RR window?[:0] BP

Thanks, Craig. That Tahoe Green 1952 is how I remember Tahoe Green, including one that I owned for nine years and knew from new.
