pictures can deceive, but isn't the hood, trunk lid, grill, bumpers, dash, steering wheel, etc. worth the opening bid?
There are peices there I could certainly use.

Thanks for this post. I regularly do a little "what's new on eBay" for our club newsletter. I have been looking for something for this issue and as press time was approaching rapidly, I was beginning to get desparate. I scour eBay every day and like to show the interesting, wierd, bizzare or silly things people sell that are Studebaker related. This car certainly fits the bill. I missed it because the ad had a picture of the engine and it didn't catch my attention.

      Thanks again

Yeh I don't even know why I checked that ad, I just did, but may have been worth it It is kinda cool. I think the parts mentioned would be worth the opening bid, but really hope someone does something with it. If the work was done right (no way of knowing without physical inspection) it wouldbe a sweet ride, and not to far away from being presentable.

That IS kind of cool. And judging by the pictures, it's sitting in a semi-arid part of interior California, so it may not have major rust issues. I'd definitely snag it if it were closer to me.

I wonder how far it is from Mr. Biggs' location?

I like it, but there,s no chance of me buying it. As you say, if it doesn't have rust issues it could be a fun little car. Lots of unanswered questions, but the parts are probably worth more than the price unles a bidding war starts.

There must be someone close enough to save the grille shells, parking light bars, hood, trunk, bumpers, etc. at that price.

I think that the car should be saved and finished, but I doubt that that will happen. I definitely would not pay to ship it across the country.

I dunno. It sure ain't for me. Should be worth at least the current bid price even as parts, though. I wonder if there'd be more interest generated if it was still stock? LH

Interesting look. The rear 3/4 shot reminds me a bit of a Datsun 1600 (much larger in person, of course!) Not a bad vision for a chop job like that. I wonder if the shortened frame would offset the body shake that will occur from having no roof?

I know we have some members in Antelope Valley, Lancaster/Palmdale area, this is across the Calif. 14 Freeway from Edwards Air Force Base.

Maybe at the next Shuttle landing there, they could fly it in the 747 or in the shuttle cargo bay to Florida for Jeff or Matt to go fetch it!

I think one or two Members might even be HERE, where are you guys? [:0]

This looks like a neat little car, about the only issue I can see is that windshield installation may not be DOT approved! Easy fix.

I do like it...kind of a modified King Midget look ...but no new big projects for me until the Ute sells.
