Little problem with rear springs I ordered from SASCO.
I bought a set of 1559760, spec'd in the parts book as HD springs for 63V & S. What I [u]received</u> are clearly stamped 1554563, which the book says are standard-duty springs for 62V & S, and 63S.
I'm trying to decide whether to try and return them for the parts I ordered, or to just lump it and put 'em on (due to the weight and expense of shipping them back). My car has a 259 with a WCFB mounted.
So the question is: was there any significant change to the rear spring geometry or spring rates between '62 and '63 that would prevent me from using these? I know they're not HD, but if they fit and work right, maybe I can live with that. They're certain to be a ton better than the flattened, worn out spring packs that are in the car now.
Advice and suggestions welcome!
