  • Lark Emblem Removal

I am doing a little bodywork on a 1960 Lark. Went to take off the Lark and the VIII emblem on the front fenders and found that there are no nuts holding them on just a press type fit. Anyone have any tips on how to get these off? I need to get them off to paint and then back on. Also anyone know where to get a pair of 60 Lark bumper guards? Sasco?

    Thanks for all help

Use a putty knife, and go slow, Try to pry them off at the same time, do not try to start at one end and go to the other, you'll break the script.
Once you have it off, use a small hammer or the end of a screw driver to push out the barrel nuts, put them in a zip lock bag and store them until you're ready to re install them.
