        Tom--

Oh, that M rocks! Welcome aboard. Your open-top truck ought to be featured in TW...and actually that nice horizontally-composed pic with the bridge would look very smart indeed on a TW cover...

You're very close, LH...this is a one-lane bridge at Noxon, west of Thompson Falls. Was up there last month to a wedding...beautiful country. I'm actually in the center of the state, Lewistown. Thanks for all the comments on the Studester...its certainly a lot of fun. Still a work in progress, as I suppose they always are. A few specifics...'78 Chevy Caprice front clip, 383 Chevy Stroker w/Turbo 350 (hopefully soon to be upsized to a 700R4 trans), removable hardtop (still original steel), lots of customized aluminum parts. Gets a lot of looks going dowh the road...not a lot of room up front, but certainly a blast to cruize in!

That would be a sweet ride to drive through Montana... I lived in Kalispell until just last summer. Your first pic looks very much like the east looking west view from the Old Steel Bridge (also a one laner), but the mountains are way further off in Kalispell... just noticed that. Unfortunately, they had just finished tearing the old bridge down a month or so before I left town, and were starting construction on a new, nondescript replacement. I've been through Thompson Falls, Noxon, and Lewistown a couple of times each through the years. Beautiful state... I'll probably move back there sooner than later.
