    Steve,

He was already collecting Stude trucks when I joined the SDC in early 1974. At one time I think he owned 3 four wheel drives, perhaps someone knows what he has now better than I.

I'm guessing it would have been made by Armbruster. The factory never made them, but that is where Studebaker would have had the conversions done.

Did Edwards ever do any conversion work or did they only supply truck bodies?

I know David. He is a nice guy with a real interest in Studebakers. He owns the Bantam Chef in Chesnee, SC. The restaurant has Studebaker items throughout plus one museum room.

David owns the 1950 stretch that has been in Turning Wheels, including Jan. '07.

I don't know about this particular truck. Asa Hall owned a 1963 8E15-155 with crew cab, utility box and a diesel engine. It was a factory issued truck. Studebaker had the cab modified by Armbruster & Co. I don't know the current location of that truck.

                            Gary,

Asa's truck is currently residing in Texas with Bo Markham. It was one of the vehicles that Sharon parted with prior to the auction.
