i am restoring this for a customer i plan on converting to 12v and have a delco dist. any sugestions on the points condenser and coil. i also plan to replace all the cloth covered wiring, and the reason for the conversion is i am installing a/c. the compressor will fit where the gen sits and will be permently mounted, i am using a small serpentine belt tensioner with small lips to keep the v belt tight while pushing against the back side just like it would with a serp. belt. the extra groove will run my single wire gm alt which will be adjustible. i have made the bracket for the a/c compressor but still have to fab the rest. any suggestions will be helpful

It sounds like a neat install.

Vintage Air sells the bracket to mount a Sanden compressor on a Stude V8, and a couple of Stude vendors sell a complete kit to put air in a Stude with a V8.

Always room for one more method, however.

Replace the points & condenser with a Pertronix unit, your customer with thank you. They are available from most of the vendors on the home page.
