Gotta love those new-fangle air conditioning compressors Studebaker used.

Man, that looks good! Gotta love that Rose Mist, too. My only nit-pick would be to lose that "fits-all" parts store battery hold-down in favor of one custom made for the Lark.

But that's an awfully tiny nit to pick!

Congratulations are in order!

Lose the dryer hose on the air cleaner and use the black DAYCO air duct hose.

I could be a smartarse and say it looks almost as good as a SBC, But I won't. I won't because it looks great and there's something I really like about the R2 engine in a small sedan.

It is truely "Worth The Wait" [:p]

I thought Studebaker batteries were held down by gravity!?!

She ought to be a real street sleeper that you can use to shock the crap out of some young kid in a Honda Civic with the fake rear air foil and the fake loud buzzing muffler.

Be careful what you wish for, some of those 'rice burners' will blow the doors off that R-2....ever see the fast and the furious?

Yes, I thought it was a little too much when they were racing at night and he hit the Nitro and then the lights through the windshield blurred just like the Enterprise on Star Trek going to warp speed. There are some extremely fast rice rockets but its the kids with the normal 4 bangers and the fake loud mufflers I would love to see embarrassed.

But the world's fastest production 4 cylinder vehicle on the planet is Mopar powered. RaceDeck racing in August 2006 at the SETA SPEED WEEK - Bonneville Salt Flats in a Dodge Neon SRT-4 running in the production SuperCharged/Turbo Class (F/PS) set a new world record with a two way average speed of 221.385 MPH. The engine a 2.4 L Mopar SRT-4 Supercharged (Turbo)that puts out 650 HP burning gasoline.

Trust me, between me, the actual import gearheads I hung out with on Yahoo, and my own R2 Lark, I've yet to see anything of that sort. Hollywood came up a little short on the details in that movie(how do you fry piston rings??)
