I can see on my Studebakers where one would use an external tooth lock washer or an internal. Why would you want the difference ???.....Brad

Here is a site I had bookmarked that shows a lot of different toothed lockwashers with brief descriptions of the use(s):
Now, why Studebaker engineers decided to use certain lockwashers in certain places, that I can't tell you<G>.

I have worked on many cars & diesel trucks with equipment mounted
on the back.I always replaced the lock washers with same type
i removed.When i read the post i did learn something.It goes
to prove an old dog can learn new tricks.Thank You
