There's evidence of several "frame-offs" sitting around our place. Executioner Bob Peterson might be amongst the most experienced at this sorta thing! Better that he hold such an "honor" than me.[xx(]

It looked like original paint. Don't see many of those, even in the rust belt.

Yep, what wasn't surface rusted, was the original paint.

This was a pretty special car. Top of the line sedan, V8 with Overdrive, 3.31 rear, hill-holder, air conditioning, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. The engine is a 259 that was rebuilt as a 289. And to George's delight, it isn't stuck.

Yep. There isn't much left of the one from this car though, but George told me to take it with me.

My brother inherited a 60 Lark six with only 30,000 miles from my great-aunt in Schenectedy. Olive green with the dark tinted glass all rouns and a perfect interior. Then he f\drove it over a cliff! I have that same sad feeling watching this Lark collapse. Oh, well, at least it's in the hands of real Studebaker people. Something good will come of it.
