There were two '57 GH's at South Bend in '07; each got 394 points.
One was owned by Lew Skelton of Rogers, AR.
The other by Dale & Pat Bielby of Holland, MI.

Judging from the location of the rear view mirror, I would say this was Bielby's.

              Nice Car!
What is the correct color for the trunk?
What would be correct for my 55?

                  Super nice Hawk!
Is that red color on the bottom the correct color for a 57 Golden Hawk.
My 55 President HT had a greenish looking color when I removed the undercoating.

This very nice Hawk in NOT a 400 per the vin number. The door trim panels are different on a 400 and the pleats in the seat of a 400 run front to back and not side to side.

I bid $14000 safe in the knowledge that it would go for a lot higher, but 59k is quite a bit more that I expected. I think the bid might hit 30k. The 56 GH on EBAY looks like a good deal with a BIN of $10,500.

My guess is that if Bob was judging Hawks in 07 he would have picked up the oblong bumper bolts and the missing rear sway bar as wellVery nice car all the same, only minor details but I wonder what he was thinking when he picked the red paint for the underbody

I'm not sure that 57 GH comes equipped standard with a stabilizer in the rear. The red paint resembles Glyptal brand electrical insulating varnish. jimmijim
