This is a nicely restored champ truck with a 289 V/8, 3spd O.D. Short wide box. New interior. Truck took some dents when this winters snow load collapsed the shelter where it was parked. One dent in the roof, cowl lightly damaged from impact wth wiper shaft, fender light damaged from impact with radio ant., windshield is cracked, top of bed rail lightly indented. hood scratched but not damaged, drivers fender and balance of body not damaged. runs good with low miles on complete engine rebuild. good tires, three nice stainless caps, one presentable. This is a 1950 half ton. Has some rust but not bad. It's all thare to restore to original or great for a V8 street toy. It is a 6 cyl. 3 on the tree. Does not turn over. If you see somthing missing under the hood I probubly have it. If you want to put a V8 in it I will throw in a turbo 400 chevy trans. It has a Chevy 350, a rebuilt tranny, base red paint, new steering column, front end early 80's jag suspension, rear end is unknown but not stock. New drive shaft. New (last Year) Edelbrock manifold and carb. Brand new rims and tires. IT DOES RUN. Needs a pipe bent to connect left side exhaust. and alignment. That should put it on the road, but you may want to bolt the seat down. No interior to speak of. It is a project but it is darn close. Come check it out. PLEASE NO LOW BALLERS, LOOKY LOOS. Working on another Studebaker and having too much fun with the Transtar pickup so it's keeping me from putting my efforts on to my Hawk. So, I decided to sell it. It's a 1956 3/4 ton long bed Studebaker Pickup and has scores 387 and 383 out of 400 points at the Studebaker International Meets receiving a First place at both Meet and many more first places at State Meet and local car shows. . . . It's a great driver. . . And it's all Studebaker starting with a Studebaker 259 V8 with dual duce's Aluminum intake and Finned Aluminum valve coversand spark plug covers. Turner Front Disc Brakes, 3 speed over drive on the floor and dual traction 3:73 rear end. Painted the 56 color scheme for Studebaker that year. I have drove this Truck all over even been to Omaha and back. As I said it's a driver.
You won't see too many Studebaker trucks in this condition. Serious requires only. . .

THESE TRUCKS ARE BOTH TON AND A HALF TRUCKS BUT THE CABS ARE PERFECT FOR RESORATION OR A GOOD START TO A RAD ROD PROJECT. THE YELLOW TRUCK IS COMPLETE WITH A FLATHEAD 6 THREE SPEED TRANSMISSION AND A TWO SPEED REAR END. THE OTHER TRUCK HAS A FLATBED DUMP BED. IT ALSO HAS A FLATHEAD 6 AND 3SPEED TRANNY THAT IS NOT IN THE TRUCK BUT IS IN THE FLAT BED. THESE TRUCS DO NOT RUN ALTHOUGH THE YELLOW TRUCK IS COMPLETE AND IS IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE. All original restoration, with a few minor modifications:

-electric fuel pump added by prior owner
-LED tail lights added during restoration
-"Wolf Whistle" vaccuum horn added
-Minor electrical upgrades, such as alternator conversion, negative ground conversion

Asking $10,000 (well below restored value), or trade for late 60's Chevy pickup (restored, or unrestored plus cash).

Runs excellent.
Starts easy and drives fine.
It's been in one show, and drew much attention, but did not compete for any awards.

This truck is an almost frame-off restore (fenders, bed, nose), just the cab stayed on.
The engine is the stock original, rebuilt during restoration.
Original stock military version transmission, rebuilt during restoration
The brakes all around are new (original drum configuration).
The interior has been reupholstered.

The fuel tank has been removed and relined.
The body has been completely sanded, primed, and repainted.

Must be seen.

Many hours and dollars went into restoring this truck. I'm listing it for my dad, who doesn't use computers.
He took it out of the garage at the end of 2008, and seems unmotivated to put it back since my mom died a few months ago. The outdoor cover has fallen apart, and the beautiful paint job is getting filthy.
He's talked about selling it to buy a 60's Chevy a few times, so I'm listing it without his knowledge to find out if there's any interest in it.

1955 Studebaker ton-and-a-half cab and chassis. 259 V8 engine (smokes)12 volt electrical, 5-speed transmission w/PTO, 2-speed rear-end. The truck starts easy and although the engine does run smooth, it smokes pretty bad. The transmission works good, and the brakes work adequately. The cab has rust at the bottom of the cab and doors. All the glass is pretty good, except the driver's wind-wing is missing. The truck currently has a hydraulic hoist, winch, and bed which I am removing. This truck was ordered from the factory with the following options: 289 V8, 5-speed OD trans, Twin Traction rear end (posi) with 4.55 gears, long bed. deluxe trim, am radio, dual door locks,The truck runs and drives great, brakes work,engine is very strong, body is good except for the cab which must be replaced. This truck spent its life on the California coast and the rain gutter is rusted out. At some point the truck was converted to propane and still has the 60 gal. tank in the bed. This truck is one of the last built with stude power. It is rare with the 5 spd-OD.
