Finally a rolling 63 R2 chassis

Granted it needs its brake lines, fuel lines and gas tank, but it is well on its way. Body (painted Super Red) is being painted and will be placed on the frame in June. A huge thanks to everyone on there advice in the Studebaker Drivers Club Technical Forum.

Hey,looks like the X member fell out,like those tires.

Cross member is there. Keep in mind this is a 63. The rims were powder coated and match extremely well. The tires are newly manufactured by Coker Tire. They are Firestone bias plys. They are the exact style and tread that came on this car out of the Studebaker factory. It is hard to image that a car with this much power can ride on such a narrow tire.

The post doesn't say what body style is going on this R2 chassis, so it can't be determined if an X-member is appropriate.
You may know something that this post doesn't state or perhaps you just made an assumption.

Sorry about that Gary. You are correct. The Lark is from the Custom trim line. It is a 2 door sedan. It is a packaged car with a 4 speed and bucket front seats.

Well it IS a Studebaker, they weren't big on changing things that didn't need to be changed, and at least the front suspension would have been about the same.
