A 275X60X15 is about as big as you can put in there but you have to use a 7" rim with a 4 3/4" backspace. And you will have to use a bumper jack to raise the body a little, if you use a floor jack under the rear end you can't get the tire on to the axle.

You can use a floorjack to jack it up then put jackstands under the frame and unload the suspension.

FWIW, I am running 255/50-16" on 8" rims. I made up a plywood disc about 26", the same diameter as the tire I am running, and a pair or sheet metal cylinders which fit over the plywood disc. This way, I could bolt the disc on the rear hub, set the cylinders to the width of the tire and move the assembly in or out, cycle the suspension up to full bump stop, to see where the tire would hit.

On the front suspension, it would indicate the offset needed to clear the fenders inside and out at full lock.

        thnx, jv.

On stock rims, you can only go up to 195s if you have fender skirts.

I have 205s on now, and the skirts now longer fit. However most people don't have skirts on a CK.
